GoStuds Code of Conduct

Behavior standards that keep GoStuds respectful, focused, and collaborative.

1. Why This Exists

GoStuds is built for people who want to create, collaborate, and move forward together. A strong community doesn't just happen, it's shaped by how people behave and treat each other. This Code of Conduct exists to make sure everyone has a space where they can focus on building without unnecessary friction. It's not about restricting you, it's about creating an environment where progress is actually possible. When everyone follows this, the platform works better for all.

2. Respect Comes First

Every interaction on GoStuds should be based on mutual respect. People come from different backgrounds, skill levels, and experiences, and that diversity is what makes collaboration valuable. Being respectful doesn't just mean avoiding negativity, it means being thoughtful in how you communicate and respond. Disagreements can happen, but they should always remain constructive. The goal is to build together, not break each other down.

3. Be Honest About Who You Are

Your profile is how others decide whether to work with you. Being honest about your skills, experience, and availability helps build trust from the start. Misrepresentation might get attention in the short term, but it breaks collaboration in the long run. Clear and honest communication leads to better outcomes for everyone involved. On GoStuds, trust is built through transparency.

4. Build, Don't Disturb

GoStuds is not a social feed, it's a place to build. Every feature, from messaging to projects, is designed to help people move forward. Using the platform for spam, distraction, or irrelevant activity takes away from that purpose. If something doesn't help you or someone else build, it probably doesn't belong here. Keep interactions meaningful and focused.

5. Communicate Like a Teammate

Good communication is what separates ideas from execution. Whether you're working on a project or connecting with someone new, clarity and responsiveness matter. Respect people's time, be clear about expectations, and avoid unnecessary delays or confusion. Even simple updates can make a big difference in collaboration. Treat communication as part of the work, not an afterthought.

6. Take Responsibility for Your Work

When you join a project or take on a task, others rely on you. Being accountable means showing up, delivering what you commit to, and being transparent if something changes. Not every situation will go as planned, and that's okay, but communication is key. Owning your role builds trust within teams. Strong teams are built on reliability, not just ideas.

7. Respect Boundaries and Privacy

Not everyone wants the same level of interaction, and that's important to respect. Avoid pushing conversations, spamming messages, or crossing personal boundaries. Just because someone is on the platform doesn't mean they are available for everything. Respecting space and consent makes the platform more comfortable for everyone. Collaboration should feel natural, not forced.

8. Use AI and Tools Responsibly

GoStuds provides tools, including AI features, to help you work smarter. These tools are meant to assist you, not replace your thinking or responsibility. It's important to use them in a way that adds value to your work. Blindly relying on outputs without understanding them can lead to poor outcomes. Use tools to support your process, not shortcut it.

9. No Harmful or Misleading Behavior

Certain behaviors go against what GoStuds stands for and are not acceptable. This includes harassment, abuse, misleading others, or using the platform for harmful purposes. These actions affect not just individuals but the entire community. If something creates a negative environment, it goes against the purpose of the platform. Keeping things constructive is a shared responsibility.

10. What Happens If This Isn't Followed

Most people won't need to think about this section, but it's here for clarity. If behavior goes against this Code of Conduct, actions may be taken to protect the community. This can include warnings, restrictions, or account removal depending on the situation. The goal is not punishment, it's maintaining a space where people can build without disruption. Respecting the system ensures it works for everyone.

11. Keep It Simple

At the end of the day, this all comes down to one idea: Use GoStuds the way you would want others to use it with you. If your actions help people build, collaborate, and move forward, you're doing it right. If they create friction or confusion, you need to rethink.
